Item is in Very Good condition, tested and it does works!!  There are two (2) issues, from which we have this system listed For Parts or Repair (even though it does work).  The first is sometimes the eject won't fully go----the tape tries to go, but then plops back in; to solve this, stick your finger (or a strong nail file) under the tape when it pops up and jerk it forward, that will work.  But then other times the eject will work normally, the better as the Betamax warming up (it could be a motor warming up, but no refunds for that).  The other issue is the only Betamax tape we have that has an actual recording on it (an uncut version of Crimes of Passion recorded from somewhere which was a bonus to watch) has some visual speckle interference as it goes---this could either be the tape is old or the Betamax heads are dirty.  The other tape is blank.  But everything else works and the tape plays normally, thus the internals work for playback.  This VCR rewinds and Fast Forwards normally both when play is on, and when play is not on.  Remote included and it works!  Remote takes two (2) AA Batteries.   Manual NOT included, Batteries (for the remote) NOT included.  See the manual on Sony's website (if applicable) for specific operational details.  SEE ALL PICTURES!!
