Super RARE 1953 only Ideal Saucy Walker BOY baby doll 22” ALL original pristine

This adorable vintage guy was made ONLY in 1953 and is extremely RARE. This is the Ideal 22” “Saucy Walker Boy” Doll. He is referenced on page 115 of Judith Izen’s 2nd edition Ideal Dolls book (Shown in last photo), one photo only, wearing the exact outfit only pictured in red and white.  This is the first time we have seen this version of this unique doll in person.
Hard plastic with vibrant original factory coloring, open and close grey blue clear eyes that are flirty/side glancing (the tiniest of cut to his eyelashes on left eye see photo #9).   Golden blond short curly rooted hair. Head turns side to side when legs are moved. Marked Ideal on back of head and back.
This darling boy is wearing his original royal blue and yellow 2 piece shorts outfit. Shirt buttons in back (yellow center button is missing) he has his original white underpants in perfect condition, white original rayon socks and factory white rubber shoes marked Ideal on bottoms.  His entire outfit Is in excellent condition, clean and pressed.

(***NOTE: These dolls tend to have eyes shift, especially during shipment! If this happens, pull up firmly on his head, there’s a stretchy band inside that attaches the head to the neck, place your finger inside the head and gently push on the weight of the eye mechanism to return eyes into position)

The dolls have all been extremely well loved and well cared for, many include their original layettes, furniture and accessories.  Most of the items are from the 1920's, 1930's, 1940's and 1950's.  Please keep in mind, this dates them to anywhere from 60-90 years old! Many, if not most, of the items are in remarkable condition despite their age.
The owner of these dolls is now retiring and downsizing their estate, after several years of doll collecting.  The dolls are display ready unless otherwise indicated.
