    Description

    Mid Century Vintage Sunbeam T-20 Radiant Control Automatic Toaster.  This toaster is dated 1950 -- it has been on duty over 70 years and should easily last another 30.  I believe this model came out in 1949, so it's a very early one.  When new the price was .50, which is about 0.00 in 2021 dollars.  Expensive, but I figure it cost about a penny  a day to use a fine toaster like this, and it's still working.  Made in USA!!  I tested it out, and used it this morning for a delicious piece of toasted bread that I made in my vintage Zojirushi bread maker.  All the heating elements light up, and the automatic lowering and raising of the bread works fine.  I find that if one turns the toaster upside down, it may take it a couple of cycles to get back to normal.
