Mapex Saturn Bass Drum 22" x 18" Emerald Stardust Fade Green w Bag

This is a Mapex Saturn Bass Drum 22" x 18". The color is Emerald Stardust or Emerald Fade. It looks like Mapex does not make this color anymore, getting hard to find. This is the Maple/Walnut wood series, great projection and sound. This drum presents itself very well, in Good/Very Good Condition. There are some flaws as seen in some of the pics. I am not the original owner, it came as seen here. The batter hoop shows several areas of mismatched paint and marks. Front hoop is very good. The lacquer finish is in great condition, a couple of very small flaws near center mount, very hard to see in pics. All chrome on hardware looks good. There is one fingernail sized discoloration spot on top edge of shell that is covered by front hoop. does not affect bearing edge, both bearing edges are fine. There are some light marks/discolorations on the bottom of the interior of the shell. as seen in pic 9.  There is a scratch/abrasion present next to the head as seen in pic 10, you can see the markings in the wood, but it does not feel like anything major. Pics 11 and 12 show a hairline crack in the 1st inner ply along one of the sides of the shell that goes from edge to edge. This was present when I received the drum 2-3 yrs ago, never has given me any problems as it was gigged with regularly, and it always sounded great. There is also another hairline crack that goes halfway along the inner ply at a different part of the shell. This has given me no problems with sturdiness and overall shell integrity.
A couple of the tension rods are slightly bent, but very usable. Overall a great drum to add to your kit or build a kit around. Comes with Roadrunner carrying bag, one of the zippers has no pull tab, but the other zipper has the tab and works fine.
