    Description

    Here is a very nice Grueby Pottery squat form pinched out flared lip vase with 5 leaves overlapping 5 behind.  It is covered in their famous matte green glaze which thins nicely at the leaf edges and mid-ribs to highlight the integrated form and decoration. It measures 6 inches in diameter at the widest point and 2 inches tall.   It is in great condition with only one small rim chip repaired at a leaf tip and no other chips, cracks, firing flaws, or repairs.  Marked with the Grueby Pottery Boston USA die-stamp, a con-joined WP fro modeler Wilhelmina Post, and an illegible date 5/4/?t.  A beautiful form with a good glaze from the quintessential Arts & Crafts New England art pottery.  If you have any questions please click on our username or visit our store page and feel free to email through the gallery or call Jim Messineo at JMW Gallery.
